I want to talk about something that is very important for everyone who wants to find SUCCESS in anything they commit to. What I am referring to is called RESULTS & THE END GOAL
It is crucial in any undertaking that you always start with the end in mind.
What is the end goal?
It is very important that you decide what the result is! This is going to be your lighthouse, your north star, DON’T LOSE SIGHT OF THIS END GOAL!
Now what I mean by RESULT is: how YOU define RESULTS. A problem that I often notice is that people often struggle in the beginning and many times get discouraged, they fall short of what they want and they quit and in many instances they loose sight of the end result, that end goal that was the driving force.
ALWAYS START WITH THE END IN MIND
BE CONSCIOUS OF HOW YOU DEFINE RESULTS
The problem that I notice is 1: loosing sight of the end goal & how YOU define success.
ALWAYS START WITH THE END IN MIND
When you commit to something whether it is working out, getting more successful with women, working on a business plan, learning an instrument whatever it may be, I want you to paint a vivid picture in your mind of what the end result/goal is. It is so important that you define the goal and make sure it is powerful enough to keep you motivated when times get tough.
I cannot stress enough how crucial it is to really make this picture in your mind clear and powerful.
Create a vision board of picture that really help you to empower you & relate to the end result, this is going to reinforce the result and keep you motivated. If you are starting to workout find a picture of someone who has the body that you aspire too, find as many pictures as you can, have quotes that inspire you on this board. Whatever you can put on the board that reinforces the end result! Put them up! The vision board or in this example what I like to call it: a motivation board, is a great tool that will help you continually have the end goal in mind! DON’T LOOSE SIGHT OF THIS END GOAL! If the end result changes as you progress update it, but always make sure that you have an end result in mind!
HOW YOU DEFINE SUCCESS
How you define success/result is so important! As I mentioned always start with the end in mind, but don’t let the size and scale of your goal cripple you or shut you down.
It is so important that you define success when you are starting out differently than a year in or two years in or 10 years in.
What I mean by this is if one of your goals is to bench press 300lbs, you cannot expect to achieve that after the first six months. Benching 300lbs is one of your end goals but its important to start with something achievable and as you progress you will continually update this short-term goal until you eventually achieve your goal of benching 300lbs.
The problem that I often see is that people look at their end result as the top of a mountain, and they feel that when they start they are at the bottom of a huge mountain and it seems insurmountable.
Have you ever had this problem?
When people climb Mount Everest it is done in stages and the same must be done for your mountain! Don’t expect to reach the top in one shot; it takes time, effort and determination!
Your first goal should be to take action towards achieving your end result and this will be done through achieving a short-term goal! Making it up part of the mountain, make sure to have the end result in mind but your next goal is to get a little farther up that mountain, and eventually through perseverance and FUN don’t leave that out, HAVE FUN, you will reach the summit, the mountain top!
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”—Chinese Proverb
Starting with the end in mind & being conscious of how you define success are two very instrumental aspects of achieving your goals and reaching the result to which you aspire. I cannot tell you how useful they are in achieving your goals!
TAKE ACTION, TODAY, RIGHT NOW, THIS SECOND!
DON’T WAIT, LIFE DOES NOT STOP AND WAIT SO NEITHER SHOULD YOU!
TAKE SOME FUCKING RISKS, PLEASE, PLAYING LIFE SAFE WILL ONLY LEAD TO REGRET…SO FUCKING TAKE RISKS!
I PROMISE YOU WILL BE HAPPIER FOR IT!
Till next time…
